Ladies and gentlemen, Dustin Rasmussen!
What inspired you to start playing the drums?
My dad took me to see his friend’s band play when I was like 5 years old. We got to sit up behind the drummer and I remember him doing a fill and hitting the crash. From that day on, I knew I wanted to play drums.
What is your favorite kind of music to play?
My favorite would have to be fast paced punk rock.
What are some of your drumming goals?
I want to be able to always play on time and get more creative around the kit. And really be more confident when playing with other musicians,
If you could play drums with any band, which would you choose?
It would have to be Queens Of The Stone Age. I’m a really big fan of Jon Theodore, Dave Grohl, and Joey Castillo. They’ve all brought a sound to that band that I can only describe as huge.
